Stepford Wife

In preparation for the new kitchen Gabrielle has been learning some new skills. This may come as a shock as many people don't realise that she has some domestic skills. A Stepford wive is every mans dream.

Demolition of the Box

The South Eastern Box ( the so called kitchen ) has been demolished.

Gabrielle attempting to use sledge hammer, luckily no one was hurt in the process.

The Last Supper

After 6 months of waiting, work is about to start on Monday the 10th of October.

The final meal was prepared, rump steak and peas, the limit of this kitchen.

The best dinner setting was used for this historic meal, note the matching plates !

The Steak and One Veg Kitchen

The time has finally come to update the 'Steak and (not 3 or 2 but...) ONE veg kitchen!!!
As the "before" photos will show, there is only room for cutting one vegetable at a time.I didn't notice this when I bought  unit, (in late 90's)  all I  saw was the Ocean, and how close I was to it!

photo 1: shows 'box-like' kitchen. The wall behind chair and adjacent to it will be demolished.

photo 3: entrance to 'steak-&-one veg' kitchen, which will have wall behind chair demolished. You can see laundry doorway- this will be bricked in.

photo 4: Current sink & bench.....the new sink & bench will still be along this eastern wall. Therefore saving plumbing costs

photo 5: This is the western wall of kitchen to be be demolished. As you can see, bench space only wide enough to cut  one carrot.. left handed only!

photos 6 + 7: Just left of blue towel will be the new doorway entry to laundry. (which is currently through kitchen). I didn't like carrying wet or dirty washing through lounge/dining rm/kitchen to get to laundry. It makes sense to enter straight from bathroom. This is Greg's design.
